Yes, that’s me, a seasoned IT professional and a young hardworking and high ambitious entrepreneur making the Internet more beautiful place. I am an Indian and I live in Kolkata, one of India’s major cities and the capital of its West Bengal state.
I was born on the 4th of March in 1986 at Kashipur, a remote village in the West Bengal, State of India. I come from a middle-class Indian family with my father being a School Teacher and my mother is a housewife. In a family of three children, I was the youngest and the only son and thus much loved and indulged by both my parents and my two elder sisters. You’d think I was a spoilt brat but I wasn’t; I was one of the brilliant students in class and my parents are proud of me.
In 2001, at the age of 15 years, I completed my high school in West Bengal from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education scoring top grades. I spent a further period of two successful years in high school and passed Higher Secondary with first class. In the year 2005 took part in the university entrance exams for Engineering and I got 1423 rank out of more than 100000 aspiring students. I got admission thereafter in Electronics & Communication Engineering at Techno India under the West Bengal University of Technology. My student days were marked more by curiosity than regularity; this doesn’t mean I wasn’t hardworking but rather that I enjoyed the practical part of learning a lot more than just following routine theoretical lessons.
After I graduated from University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, I discovered that I was highly inspired by major companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM, Infosys, etc and determined to establish a software company of my own in future.
I’ve always been curious about all different types of technological possibilities and living up to challenges. I get really ecstatic when I’m able to find solutions to problems and that’s my driving force: I can and will do it!
I worked at Hightech Labs Company in Kolkata for a period of six months (Dec 2009 to May 2010). For the first half of this time, I was a junior software developer and the second half …the Project Manager! This was due to the clear demonstration of my astounding performance. I saw no reason not to embark on my own software business venture and so July 2010 saw the commencing of ALSOFT, my very own software company.
I have 10 years of experience in Internet Technology and Entrepreneurship. I am a highly successful programmer and able to handle all types of programming. I have expertise in C and C++ programming languages, Linux Operation System, Apache web server, MySQL database design and maintenance, PHP scripting language and much more! I have a good experience in implementing and managing huge databases; I am very confident in being able to do anything and everything related to computer technology on the Internet.
With my vast experience in computer software development and technology, I have one goal in mind and that’s to make ALSOFT as superior as an Internet giant like Google. One of the successful services launched by me on the Internet is the popular dictionary website http://www.aldictionary.com, launched four years ago and already has 5000 unique visitors per day worldwide. All visitors to the website are organic. Many more service developments are underway.
I didn’t become a software engineer just for the money. Yes, the ability to earn is great. I have been motivated by a sense of achievement, personal growth, advancement, and attachment to the work itself. I just love doing what I’m doing and how I do it. Follow my personal blog posts for more.
